Regular readers will know that I have not produced a version for the Google App Store (they just make it too difficult). So only iOS or Amazon devices supported directly.
BUT Amazon web site says that any Android device can install the Amazon AppStore App and then install any app they host. This should allow the installation of River Thames Guide on any Android/Google device. The only Android device I have is an Amazon Fire so I am unable to check this out - hopefully someone will try and let us all know?

Thanks

Ok

Further update.

Having done my previous steps.

(a) Go to Amazon UK APP store on a STANDARD PC (and Mac probably)
(b) Find Thames APP in App Store
(c) Ignore warnings about it being incompatible with your device, purchase for free, the App
(d) Go back to the device and the Amazon Underground App
(e) Go to "My Apps", "Cloud" and install the app!
(f) Then install Amazon video
(g) Despair as the Thames App disappears

Amazon required:
1. App was listed in Amazon store
2. Device has to be set to allow external download sources
3. Install "Amazon Underground App"
4. Then DID NOT list the app as being downloadable

Make sure you turn that back off again, there's an Android virus going about that requires that setting to take control of your phone
