Thanks for the info - I'll remeber that - but won't need any now till next year - I only burn 2 ltr / hr ;-)

Also found that some marina operators get a bit pigged off if people try push the price down - try that on the forecourt :-) I just phoned around so was told 40p now we all know it's up for negotiation you could see a bit of business.

Thanks again.

Peter

Filled up last weekend 110 L @ 40p

Watch out they close for lunch and don't tell anyone - no gone to lunch signs nothing, just one say open 0800 : 1700. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Hi,

I am the manager of Bourne End Marina. We are open every day of the year except between Christmas and New Year. From October until the end of March we operate weekends with one member of staff only, we are open 10:00 until 16:00. The staff member has lunch between 1 and 2, a notice is always put in the office door with a contact telephone number between these hours. As many of you will have been aware we were a building site as we are being totally rebuilt. I am sorry to people who may have missed the notice. You can always contact us for confirmation on timings by calling 01628 522813.

I appreciate your response but the "Gone to Lunch" sign needs to be on the river as you office is hidden behind the building site.

Regards

Peter

By way of an update at Bourne End Marina now the building works are just about complete I would advise that our 90' river pontoon is now fully operative for diesel sales, we now have two pumps so we can obviously deliver fuel to two boats at a time. Our price is £0.40p per litre, we have not raised the cost during the present difficulties, but should you buy over 200 litres the total cost is reduced to £0.37p per litre.

Our Summer hours are 0800hrs to 1800hrs every day, inclusive of weekends. We have installed CCTV and although our office is not in direct line of site of our pontoon we are able to see customers comming alongside.

I would like to thank our many customers for their support and patience during the changes here but I like to believe that we have provided one of the best service delivery points on the river, we have had many complementy comments of support in this respect. I thank you all for that.
