Anyone seen the news this morning?
River in "big" flood and various boats a lot higher up than normal!
Lets hope all ends ok, lovely place (Upton on Severn) but glad I don't live there at the moment.
Anyone got a boat up that way? How are you coping?

Saw it on TV this morning, that pub close to the river seems to get hit quite often

We got our boat from Upton back in January, lovely place.

We had to wait quite a while before the river trial due to high river levels.

Part of the problem in this area is that the fire service is stretched as I believe they deployed some bods to S Yorks. Severn Area Rescue managed to give some cover.
Got at least one fatality around here due, I believe, to trying to drive through a ford and getting stuck.
For people in Upton it's a fact of life having a flood once in a while and the pubs are pretty adept at getting cleaned up and working again once the river drops.
