The EA have added further events to the River Restrictions page on their website:

I think that they must be reminders, since Marlow Town Regatta has been in the British Rowing Calendar all year.

Unfortunately, I don't know how good the communication between river users is though - are the RUG meetings effective for this or not?:(

The issue date is usually on the foot of the notices and some of these are really recent - depends on when organisations notify EA and how quickly they get round to issuing notices and posting on their website.

As for RUGS, IMHO not really.

It's up to river organisations to inform EA, although judging by the great increase in notices this year both sides are making a bigger effort.

In conversation with some back office staff recently, they are under pressure - I suspect shortage of staff; attention being focused on Jubilee events had taken over.

All manner of folks say that the office personnel are irrelevant (should have more lockies etc, etc) but in my experience there's an awful lot going on behind the scenes.

Of course when the whole thing is transferred to CART it (could be) total mayhem with everyone left to their own devices......
