I don't quite get the bridge viewing thing. Wife and I or (SWMBO if you must!)
will be viewing from the bankside. Am I missing something or is it a case of if you can't get in the flotilla the next best thing is to see it from a bridge.

In a word, crowds. I'm a bit of a shortarse, and can't see over other peoples heads. I don't want to have to stake my claim at 5am to get a good spot, and I'm HOPING the reserved bridge spots will afford me a better view.

You'll be fine, Ross.
It will be a long day, so do be sure to wear a 'camelbak' for drinks but with plenty of wires curling from it along with a decorative hand-held trigger.
Its bound to ensure you get plenty of space around you

Rosssavage if you are vertically challenged,do what the press do and carry a small 3tread aluminium stepladder..will make you feel great being up there as well!
