River Ouse

Hi Folks

Is anyone here based on the Great Ouse and possibly Bedford way? The reason I ask is have any of you suffered from underwater damage. I was out at the weekend and had a really nice easter until finally at Cardington Lock I managed to pick up a matress!!!! The steal springs went all over the place. Luckily after a tow and getting wet I managed to get it off. Im just really suprised it didnt do any more damage apart from the prop.

Sounds nasty. I'm on the Gt Ouse, but up at Buckden.

There are a lot of tree logs in the river at the moment too. Can't say I have seen a matress yet! At least with outdrives you can get at the prop. Not much chance of that on a shaft /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Hi simon

Noticed that aswell up near the Danish camp theres a whole tree submerged. Good to see we are getting our moneys worth for the new river licence
