Should the new Greenline 33 Hybrid reviewed in this months Motor Boat Monthly be eligible for a Thames River Licence exemption in the same way the Prius is exempt from the congestion charge?

Can't understand why hybrids are exempt from the congestion charge. Not as if they take up any less room in a traffic jam is it?

The congestion charge is to reduce the polution in the city by discouraging incorrect car use, the river license is to maintain the navigation. Hopefully nobody will suggest its done by exhaust emmissions, if so half the Brooms on the river will have to be scrapped

Believe that another scale was invented by Beaufort that is not so well known.
B1 Viz approx 1 mile. New Broom 45.
B2...Viz approx 1/2 mile newish Broom 41.
B3...Viz 10 yards or less .....all and any other Broom or variant thereof that went past within the last fortnight.

Surely owners of a new Greenline should pay extra as they are filthy rich! Won't be cheap to ticket as its fairly big, and still only 2 berths. Would it be allowed to use the charging sockets at locks?
