Folks

I have come across a new Rival 36 hull and cabin. I needs totally fitted out and will
need to be sprayed as the cabin in very rough. I was wondering if you guys could have a guess at what this would be worth?

That was the sort of figure i was thinking about. I would be quite a project to finish
and will require alot of thought before i will even think about making an offer.

Sometimes project s like this change hands for very little money.Sniff the wind a bit before making an offer ,if its been lying neglected for years you may get it cheaper than you think.

Best of luck ,They are well regarded boats.

I would agree with that sort of figure.

It is a long job unless you have lots of spare time and helpers.

I am just finishing a project from a 'new' bare, decked 33ft hull with keel, bulkheads and rudder mouldings.

I have all the receipts for everything I purchased. One day I will get down to counting them all. It will be between £30K and £40K including the hull, I think.

I have however ended with something which would normally be outside my price range.

I'd go with the others. but it may be that the curent owner wants to get shot! so pitch LOW and work up if you have to......not many want to get involved in projects like this, so you may get it a lot cheaper than you think. 3-5k. Remember that you've got to have somewhere to work on it, and you'll need power, light and water, if its GRP, a decent jigsaw, drill, and charcoal mask will go a long way on the road to the finish......Go for it...I did a 30' in 2 years, (15 years ago) and have just started a 40'.....Best of luck.....Tony W.
