Rio Tapas Bar Burnham on Crouch

Anyone coming for Burnham week, the Rio is on the High Street. It's new since last year, and the chef is used to cooking Tapas for the Spaniards (we found out we'd been to his bar in the Canaries - he's over here for a year). Great value and SWMBO is raving about the lunch she just had. Has a garden as well as the main bar, but it's not huge so maybe it'll be busy during Burnham week.

Closed Mondays.

Rio Tapas bar, Burnham

I live in Burnham so, having lived and worked in Spain for some years, I was looking forward to the opening of the Rio. Sadly, on our first visit we found that the tapas bear little or no resemblance to those you find in Spain, except perhaps in the English pubs on the Costa Brava.
A major disappointment, I won't be going back.
