Does anyone have experience of folding or expanding inflatable dinghy ladders which are claimed to be rigid in use such as this one - http://www.pontoonanddock.com/safetyladder-DinghyLadders.html
I keep a 3.2 m Zodiac Fastroller airdeck dinghy in Spain and with its large tubes find it a real struggle to get back in to the dinghy after a swim. I've tried a rope ladder but its almost impossible to keep it from going under the boat and there arent enough rungs to put one foot either side of the ladder.

I had an 18ft rubber ducky for many years, (in my youth) used almost exclusively for scuba diving, we found the easiest way to get back on board (when we didn't have the benefit of fins) was to climb in over the stern using the engine cav plate as a step, I added additional handles in this area to assist those not so nimble, and also made sure the imediate area onboard as clutter free as possible. Cheers Peter.
