I made right pigs ear of fitting the carpet in the cabin! Good job I bought cheapo stuff!

God no, a few weeks ago spent a merry few hours cutting out new tread master to patterns I had copied from the boat to replace steps on starboard side only to find I had cut them all out to mirror image. Now need to buy more...

my neighbour is restoring a vintage car. He spent hours /days trimming the left hand door card with leather. Beautiful job, pleats , pockets, lots of hand sewing, he was justifiably proud. A few days later came a stream of very bad language. He had made the right hand one exactly the same!

I assembled really quite a large flat-pack bed/divan unit in a drawing room area, having carefully measured the doorway to make sure the opening between there and the bedroom was large enough.

Sadly, as it turned out, although the opening was large enough, it would have also required the removal of the structural wall opposite to get it through in one piece
