XW are usually reliable, Martin Leaning up at Port Solent is also excellent.

Performance rigging with Flash at hamble did the recent vid on Rigging checking . We are a Haslar boat but tend not to use XW but they used to be good for Bavaria as he had a 37 I believe.

+1 for Martin Leaning. I had full standing rigging replaced on a B36, including complete new furler. Very good technical and customer service. Not the cheapest but managed to negotiate a bit.

XW Rigging at Haslar

Here's a copy of the report XW Rigging did on my rig a few weeks ago so you can see the level of detail provided. Cost me £150.00.

I too had XW look at my rigging - no proper check done and a blanket recommendation to replace the lot as 11 years old.

The subsequent quote was way more expensive than Advanced Rigging in the Hamble (never the cheapest) who gave a component by component analysis and lots of stuff XW failed to notice. Recommendation to replace these bits and nothing else.

I know a rigger from Portsmouth (Portchester SC) who has worked on some serious boats (Hugo Boss and Pip Hare's boat) and would probably be able to assist. I'll PM you his number - worth a phone call.

I know Jerry is trying to retire. I think he's got someone in mind to take over, though. Jerry's done all the work on my boat over the years, but he's pretty elusive, so you don't want to be in a hurry
