So, I don't have a tow bar and don't want one either. My marina, like many, have a RIB berth price which suits me, stay under a certain size and your cost is x go over and your cost is XX. Anyone here also have a RIB that is berthed rather than trailered?

Plenty here at Sparkes.
Many either use the boat racks (craned in / out) or drive them onto a sort of floating dock in the berth to prevent fouling.
Larger ones are antifouled and stay in the water.

What sort of size RIB? We used to keep our 6.2m Avon permanently afloat in Poole, and my 9m Ribtec had a trailer but would live in the marina for weeks/months at a time. Personally we never antifouled either and would just scrub them on a beach as/when needed, recover onto a trailer to pressure wash or treat like any other boat and lift out once/twice a year to clean the hull. I think the cost/time/hassle of antifouling a RIB is barely worth it compared to a couple of lifts/scrubs per year, and often in the RIB world prospective future purchasers of larger RIB's don't like antifoul. A Versadock/Tetradock or equivalent would be my choice if permitted - we keep multiple club RIB's permanently afloat on those, very easy to launch/recover, the hulls stay spotless and makes any maintenance super easy.

We live on our Princess and have a Ribtec 7.4 that is antifouled and we use for day trips out. It lives in the water from April to November, with a mid season lift and scrub and then lifted out and winterised in November. It can get a grubby bum but we try and use it as often as possible, even going shopping in it so that we keep the hull and the back of the tubes as clean as possible.

I am hoping to use my Rib the other way round to some boaters in that this will be my boat of choice in the colder months when its easy to jump in with my children and have a quick spin for ma few hours.
