A friend has 5 metre version with a Yam 80hp four stroke.
It tops out at about 32 - 33 Kts, but the seats become uncomfortable on runs of longer than an hour(ish). I think going bigger with (loads more) grunt would be better.
depends on the size you are looking at but maybe and use, maybe worth a look at southern pacific ribs, ally floor, means light weight means less hp needed and less ££'s for petrol! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have owned several RIBS and tested a 6m RIBEYE at Ribex recently, reasonable handling just a motorbike at sea to me though, after 15mins i think okay what next.
Why not check out the good range of grp boats available so much more family friendly and safer to walkaround. And a 6m boat with a loo in the cuddy what RIB has one of those !!
i am really impressed with the White SHARK 205 and Jeanneau Cap Camarat 635.I hired the Jeanneau in Monaco last year excellent in a rough sea and much cooler than the RIB.
