Ribbing to Paris 2011

Ah the big RIB, so that's how you carry 600 litres of fuel, you must have deep space under the cockpit sole?
What Merc engines are you running, Optimax, Verado or general 2 stroke?

BTW interesting avatar, is that a trusty Browning 30 or 50 cal. bow mounted machine gun or something far less sinister ;)

Hi AndieMac
The twin tanks run most of the length of the hull, each one being around 8x2x2ft, the deck is above the waterline so there's a fair amount of room under there.

Engines are twin 225 Opti's, happy to report they're now both running well again! I flew back to Conflans (just outside Paris) in early august to continue my journey to the capital before turning round and heading back home to Jersey. An expensive trip all told, even without the 1800 litres of unleaded I went through!

It's been a good season though all things considered, I've clocked well over 1500nm this year inc a cross channel mission to Poole/Weymouth/IOW. Not bad going in an open boat bearing in mind she was out of action for the whole of may, june and july

The avatar was pinched off the 'net but a .50cal Browning is on my xmas list ;)
