The night before the unoffical river festival I've discovered my Rib stolen.
I know this is the wrong forum but before a high profile event I could do with as much help as I can get.
Please see stolen boats and gear forum for details

That's rather a judgemental comment.
There hasn't been a river festival this year, just a group of boating friends who have met up (about 73 boats).
The police commented how there has been no trouble at all
The council complemented us on keeping the area tidy
No complaints about noise
Sorry to hear about your rib, but as a boaty person you should know better than to point the finger at fellow boaty persons. It will more than likely be an opportunist thief....

Where did he 'point the finger at a fellow boaty person'?

The OP was asking for help from us.....not accusing

Think the chap was just using the MRF as a reminder as to when his rib was nicked.
As we were up there for the entire weekend can only recall a few very "well used" old speed boats and the odd titchy inflatable with 2 hp outboards. All of which appeared to be connected with boats moored in the town centre for the event.
Where was the boat removed from the water would be an interesting question, only two places ie,Allington or the health centre slipway and suspect cameras are in use at both of them.
