I have an old inflatable RIB that's been at the back of the garage for twenty years. Couple of years ago I got it out, blew it up on the lawn and it was OK but slowly, over a day went a bit soft and needed pumping up to get it hard (ooer missus)
Son now wants to take his mate fishing down the river in it so it need repairing. No obvious holes, just maybe become porous? Dunno. Can't remember which, but it was a good make. Not plastic, sort if like rubber.
I recall there was some magic "snake oil" I could pour in one of the valves, slosh it around and hey presto leak filled. Or was this one of the late great Haydn's inventions?
