I was there ! Not originally planned but visited friends at Henley by road and was kindly offered an evening cruise down to the festival site by the delightful (?) Brayman 
Apollo was predictably rude to me as we passed by - would have thought calling me "Daddy" was even worse for his street cred than for my reputation
Seemed to be a fair number of empty mooring spaces on both sides of the river but what really surprised me, not having been before, was the number of boats anchored mid - stream just above Temple Island. Great atmosphere.
