I know a few people on this forum are attending the Rewind Festival at Henley this weekend, anyone else going?

We will be there from Friday onwards as long as the boat is fixed Wednesday/Thursday, nothing like leaving it down to the wire! Part has finally arrived in so fingers crossed.....

If you see a Bayliner 285 "Akvavit" say hi and please no early morning wash as I may be partaking in a shandy or three :D

Have a fun weekend whatever you do and fingers crossed for the sunshine.

Yep, we will but you already know that :-)

Hoping the weather is going to be kind but taking wellingtons just in case.

I have masking tape to wear across my face in homage to Adam Ant and may shave my head in readiness for Right Said Fred.

Can't wait!

I do know that! :-)

I thought about dressing up but decided not to.

I will have everything from shorts and suncream, to wet weather gear. Nothing will stop the fun! :D

Glad to hear you will be active on the river again. We left it to late for the rewind unfortunately so will have to hear about all the fun you had on the forum afterwards.

Enjoy your Shandy!! :D

Me and Sam :-). And mike and sera on breakers 2. And rich and Annie and Ellie and alkie on djinskiia. And steve and Elaine.

Still got problems Sulley??

Part has arrived in the UK for the fuel regulator and fitted tomorrow or Thursday and then to wait for the bill........

Looking forward to it!!

If you look on fleabay or Rewind 80s on Facebook there are lots of people trying to get rid of tickets for less than face value. You can moor with Steve as I think he has spaces still.

Been a busy few weeks for Rewind prep engineering.... Full service on djinskiia, including impeller pump stip down to repair.

Breakers 2 had (in the last two days...) generator water pump fail, 8x battery faults due inadvertent overcharging for a year (yup, a year!!), port engine fuel pump fault, stbd engine filter block bleed screw stripped thread and belt tensioner bearing fail. Awaiting new bearing (should be here tomorrow..) so lots of last minute boat fixing!

Fingers crossed for your fuel pressure regulator tomorrow... :)

Flippin' boats!!!

I noticed some of you know your mooring by numbers already, is this due to your mooring being next to the festival?

We decided to moor at Fawley meadow, much longer walk but Steve said it's a quieter option but when we saw him on the river a couple of months back and asked how we know where to moor he said our boat name will be clearly marked on the bank.

Anyone mooring at Fawley meadow been told the same?

Excellent!, I have just renamed my boat "No Mooring" in anticipation there will be lots of marked places on the bank just for me!!

I'm on the festival moorings and I think Russ is as well, which is why we have the numbers and they mark the boat name on the bank.

Steve has his own system. I know some of the others are across the river - Ross etc but I don't have a dinghy to get across :(

Ross what did Steve tell you re marked moorings?

It will be quieter for you further up by bridge, I like to be able to pop back to the boat for extra supplies :D

Boat is being fixed as I type so hopefully everything will be good!!

Steve puts up little boards on the riverbank with your boat name on.

He uses a not-to-scale tape measure when marking out the pitches tho, so be careful;)!

He is a top bloke though...

Thank you for the info. We are only just over 7m so would hope to not have a problem.

If you see a small red covered Sealine 218 called Brigadoon give us a wave.

Have just turned up at Fawley Meadow and lots of spaces at the usual £8 a night.

Can walk down to virtually opposite the event with a deck chair and a beer.
