Reversed TV image!

Not boaty at all. TV is in the kitchen. Small portable Nikkai Digital TFT TV.

All of a sudden, the image on the screen has inverted ( ie reversed, not upside down) so image is back to front, as in a mirror. Makes subtitles really interesting! On today's weather report, I could not tell what country was being talked about by the map! Seems to have occured spontaneously, not altered by changing any settings I can locate,even time-honoured approach of turning off and back on again has no effect. Never come across the like before. Anyone know what's going on?

I HAVE come across this as an intentional setting option......presumably there are some people who want to watch the TV in a mirror There may be a setting buried deep in some menu that you have never found. Settings do seem to mysteriously alter themselves at times

Try resetting to factory defaults.

@VicM Have tried all the settings I could find, but will have a look in all the menus if there is a known setting that does this. Problem is they are hard to read on the current on-screen display. Failing that I will try & restore defaults as you suggest. I hope the reversal doesn't get worse in the interim,eg so I find out the ending befoe the programme starts. Spoils the suspense. Tho -hang on- might be good for horse racing?!

Try on the remote - Menu/Settings/Rotate.

Used a lot in hair salons and barber's shops.

Often in the settings for video projectors for back projection...... it has to be in there somewhere.

Well I never- there is a system setting called "Mirror". You learn something new everyday! Nowt so queer as folk- there seems something sinister about having that function. I much prefer the righteous outlook
