Reverse Tiller pilot

That is a really beefy rudder post fitting.
Looks great.
But also looks to be a non-trivial fabrication, assuming thats not the original fitting.

Lashing a rearward tiller extension on top of or alongside the original tiller should be fairly easy, but then you wouldn't be able to lift the tiller out of the way.

Yeah, but not over the heads of some.

Was it cast? My impression is no, that it is welded from 4 pieces plus a clamping bit (plus a lot of finish grinding). It may have even been welded onto the existing bracket.

But yes, a clever fabrication.
