I've been offered a fixer upper Reve De Mer, well within my means and I've been admiring her a lot this winter in the boat yard. She has a very unusual stern that has been added on at some point to increase rating (IOR) and more interestingly, A massive rig with diamond spreaders at the top.

I've been trying to research her but haven't found much, the boat yard reckon she is quick, I'm not so sure. Has anyone sailed one first hand and know if the original (cruiser) version is nippy or rather more a sedate littel cruiser?

I have the slightly larger, and I think earlier, Ecume De Mer and she is a fantastic wee boat. Slow by the standards of a more modern quarter tonner, but very safe in a sea. Decent accomodation for it's age as well. Even with my somewhat 'tired' sails she goes very well, and has taken us through some very rough weather.
This will give you some detail:

Revolution

Today I just sold my Reve de Mer "Revolution", being built in 1973 and bought bij me in 1967 se served me for 35 years.

She is fast and sail high to the wind. Normally when tacking she had no problems with boats (floating caravans) of more recent buildingdates.
