Revamped sails

Does anyone have any experience of having their old baggy dacron sails (cross-cut) professionally re-cut to eak out more performance for one more season.

Is it worth it, or should I just bite the bullet and buy new?

It's difficult to say without seeing the sails - but unless it's just a simple matter of taking in broad seam it's probably not worth it
