I just have to sing the praises for this stuff! SWMBO insisted that we have new cockpit cushions thick enough to sleep on as well as water resistant so I did a little surfing and found this stuff. Fantastic, hold it tight under the tap, the water just goes straight through it. A quick shake and and it is virtually dry. Three inch thick makes a great firmish cushion but if you had cockpit seats to small to sleep on you could get by with 2 inch. It's also used by commercial fish farms to filter water so don't throw away the scraps.
Finally, SWMBO made them herself !

Where do you get it and how much does it cost?

Don't know about UK suppliers. cost is very little more than regular stuff. Try your local boat canvas people and do a web search
