\\result! Vandals are guilty

Some of you may recall that Shikara was vandalised in May. The youths that did it have been found guilty. Each has to pay me compensation for cost and inconvenience, for not being able to use her, in £20 per month instalments, plus court costs. One has been referred to a Youth Offender Panel to tackle his behaviour. The first cheques arrived today /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif A little victory for my CCTV.

very satisfying news that John Citizen still plays an important part in catching criminals.

Would it be worth putting up a dummy camera in a slightly more visible place in case they try to take revenge on the one that shopped them ?

Re: \\result! Vandals are guilty

A rather convincing argument in favour of CCTV to some of the paranoia expressed ad nauseum on other forums.

That's a relief Brendan, well done.

I've also been driven to stick a camera up watching our drive and road due to neighbours garages being emptied lately. Am loving the AXIS Camera Station software and had no idea that the fox was as much a resident here as us!

Out in the country we are getting more problems with robbers/vandals and I would like to fit up some camera system around my house. What have you used and where do you get them and how much do they cost?

You can get wireless IP cameras for around £100 pounds and can remotely operate them provided you have a wireless internet connection.
