Restricted manoeuvrability

Go slowly - stick to your course and wave in a friendly fashion as the dim twerps go by - blowing them the odd kiss also helps.
Waste of time displaying flags, barrels or anything else as they wouldn't have a clue what it meant and ribs tend not to carry almanacs so even if they could read, there's even less point in carrying out "correct procedures"

Well I am a MoBo-er but I do recognise when a yachtsman is looking for depth, and so does my 15 year old sone - coz I taught him.

IMHO, if you see a yacht creeping out at 2 kts centre channel, then he's obviously looking for deep water, and as to the rest who didn't recognise this, well they ain't good skippers.

Looking for deep chanels is a permanent feature of yachting in Porthmadog by the way /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
