I want to renovate the teak joinery down below on my Nic 32 which has accumulated some 35 years of teak oil, dirt and grease! Can anyone advise how I can best get a uiform light, and bright finish ? There seems to be a lot of conflicting advice around from cleaning, stripping, sanding and finishing off with oxalic acid. Some of the wood is solid teak which could take sanding and some - cupboard doors eg - are veneer. The veneers would inhibit the use of a sander so we could end up with different shades of teak!! Grateful for any advice.
