IMHO, the oven is way over the top and you will not get the control you want or the close eyeball view to monitor the process

Sure, for big work and repeat projects, and where you have data about what temperature does what to the material you're using, use an oven that distributes the heat evenly and all that. But for a one off a hot air gun is way more controlled (you can feel the material go soft) and simpler than a plywood box with a 2-bar heater. Just my 0.02 worth, having done it a few times
