hi all, I've just purchased (2nd hand) the above unit, to replace the existing unit on my newly acquired roberts 25, aside from the fact i have to get a thru hull machined to fit the larger paddlewheel unit, not a big deal as my 82 year old father still builds live steam engines (ride on's) and has all the equipment, I would really like to reset the distance travelled to zero,( it only has 60 knots accrued in total) i've hooked the unit up to 12 volts, to check it works, and run the paddle wheel in reverse, but this still makes it accrue, not decrease, I know it sounds pedantic, but I would really like to put her back in the water after 8 months of internal/external rebuilds and for first time under my ownership with everything set to zero where possible, do any of you, who might be more experienced in these things have any ideas, thanks in advance, cheers Peter

Knot is a unit of speed

thanks Elton, having been a boater since i was 6 years old (52 years ago) I realise that. The unit displays distance travelled as 61 knots/nautical miles/land miles (whatever)., I dont want to quibble, as its getting off thread, just want to know if there is a way of resetting the accrued number to zero.
