last Friday I was pottering along the cute little harbor in Quebec City. In addition to the fantastic mouth-watering ocean goer raggies - evidently set up for serious sailing, there was a ginormous white stinkpot. I am not sure if it could be classed as a megayacht. It certaily looked BIG. And expensive. Not smudge or a mark on the acres of white painted topsides. All ss polished to a mirror-like shine. Braid on braid mooring lines with hand sewn leather chafe protections held this opulent monster in place. A couple of crew were busy cleaning and dusting off any remaining lint off on the brightwork. There was I gazing and wondering about the gazillions it would take to own and run a boat like that... when walking towards its stern I noticed a cistern lorry engaged in pumping out. Then it suddenly dawnded on on me that we all sh**t the same stuff. As if by magic I did not feel so intimidated any more.
Resizing envy is what came to mind.
Has anyone had similar experiences which cut down things to reality?
