Reserving EA Free Moorings?

Do you know if it is possible to reserve these moorings? Have seen some supposed reserved mooring signs up with an EA logo, but wondering if it is pucker or someone chancing their arm and knocking something up on a PC...

Haven't heard anything about being able to reserve them.
Is it possible they might be placed by the EA to reserve space for workboats carrying out maintenance etc?
Next time you see one take a piccy !

Reserved moorings

Hi Guys & Dolls,

I'm a newbee to the forum.

I have been on the river for over thirty years and have never
known anyone reserve a casual mooring.
Some locks which have a hookup for charging electric boats
will hold a mooring on a phone call.

Apparently the whole of the new moorings in Weybridge were 'reserved' for the local clubs sail past for Saturday and Sunday, although the sail past was on Sunday... Why the whole moorings need to be 'reserved' anyway I don't know, obviously not big on rafting up there...

I am thinking it was an enterprising club member, but really the WHOLE mooring...
