Rescue off the Datca Peninsular

No mention as to why they hit the bricks. Yes I know there was a storm but was it engine problems nav failure ??

I think that was a very fine effort indeed by the rescuers. It was also good to see the letter of thanks.

Probably just overwhelmed . Whilst Knidos near the end of the peninsular is one of my favourite anchorages getting through the pinchpoint between the end and Kos is rarely easy and not somewhere I would want to be in a full gale

By coincidence,we are in Knidos,at the end of the Datca peninsula. (or peninsular if you prefer) it is blowing a real hoolie at the moment,big seas as well. Not funny.
These guys were very fortunate to be rescued.what happened to their boat,there was no mention of its fate?

We've been sheltering in Selimiye, the wind has now dropped thank goodness. The pics of that yacht are really scary! Thank heavens the crew were rescued. We are off round to Sailor's Paradise tomorrow.
