It was damned lucky he was in warm waters, It would have been a very different outcome in the North Sea for instance. The fact he had enough energy to climb a rope ladder onto the ship is remarkable.

Doesn't sound like this chap will have the same amount of luck though after his boat washes up with the main up and engine running without him.
