to save me listening to a full cycle of shippings forecasts, does anyone know if we get "reports from coastal stations " at all, these days. without them its not possible to do a useful diy synoptic chart

dont have the internet aboard my little boat, and neither do most other sailors. but I'm sure that the coastal reports come with one of the forecasts - question is which

Find the right page on the BBC site and you will discover that [ QUOTE ]
The radio bulletin also includes the coastal weather reports (0048 and 0536 only) but these are not currently available on our site.

Thanks to those who responded. In the end I got the answer from the Met office - 0048 and 0520.

So tonights YM class can have the exercise of drawing a synoptic from the shipping forecast, and can practise next week using live data! That'll keep them busy. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just as a matter of interest, does anyone actually do that on the water or are forecasts too easily available to bother any longer.
