Forumites quite regularly post 'complaints' here relating to problems on the river, lack of cover at locks, boats behaving badly etc etc but few, if any, of these complaints ever get reported directly to the EA.
Some time ago, the TMBA set up an information reporting form on their website where anyone - member or not - can report incidents or other information. Any reports received are regularly collated and passed on to the relevant folk at the EA and there are some here who will confirm that we have been successful in getting prompt attention to addressing various issues.
The EA have informed me that they welcome this approach and the BSS people are also keen to receive any information about BSS related matters - particularly reports of carbon monoxide poisoning and fire/explosion reports or risks.
If you are not already aware, please take a look and complete a report whenever you experience a problem on the river.
