As it was too cold today to bother with all my rag and rope, I went out on my neighbours stinkie. Must admit we had a great time, and here’s this forums obligatory boiling water wake shot

Weather was quite crisp but the water was magnificent

From the pics that looks like a SHIP, not a BOAT! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Mersey never used to be that colour when I was learning to swim in it! I presume the railings & shrubs are where the former Garden Festival was? Most of the other locations are recognisable tho'.

The railings are where the mersey ferry landed the passengers for the garden festival, it's just been cleaned up and the stage taken away. River looked good today don't you think?

Not much wind to day & the landing stage shows it was HW, so no surprise there wasn't much chop. But, yes the river's looking good.

I have used the ferries there when we had to run 2 or 3 at a time to cross the gangplank while it was still touching the deck! Needs to be NW'ly 6+ on half ebb for a decent sea. Not done much sailing there (except for dinghies) I prefered the Dee & N Wales. But I'm still jealous sat at home!
