Replacing Volvo 2001 - Urgent Help Required

Hello all,

I'm sailing my Sadler 26 from Holyhead to Mallorca and after having given the engine a bit of stick to get the boat round Lands End in a F7 the Volvo engine is burning oil and losing power. I will be in La Rochelle next week and I wonder if anyone knows of a replacement engine I could source in France that would fit?

Assuming it's not a saildrive.

Volvo 2001 engine feet370mm wide275 front to back

Yanmar 1GM10 engine feet 370mm wide 209 front to back

Nanni 10 or 14 engine feet 380 wide 250 front to back

Beta 10 or 14 engine feet 370 wide 245 front to back ( but Beta will made different feet to suit)

If it's a saildrive either Volvo or Beta are the best bets.

I feel that the overall dims. of all the above are about the same. If your in France the Nanni is a French engine so it might be more available.
