Replacing velcro on foul weather gear

I'm treating myself to a new foul weather jacket but would like to replace the velcro on my old one so it can be used as a spare or by guests.

Does anyone know of someone in the Essex area who would have a sewing machine capable of penetrating heavy weight material and be prepared to fix some new velcro?

Might be worth trying a cobbler. My local traditional cobbler once did a first-class job of repairing my travel bag, at a very low cost.

A Decent Sewing Machine

Most good quality sewing machine with a new neddle will manage that .. So all you got to do now is find the cotton and the velcro .. .. The rest is easy ..
