Replacing throug hulls / seacocks

No. If they are the original ones they are almost certainly bronze, so if the balls are still free no reason to replace them. The blanket replacement of seacocks is a classic "moral panic" story. Not all seacocks are the same - nor do the poor (brass) ones fail anywhere near as frequently as the scaremongers would have you believe.

I’ve not started this through hull replacement project yet, but thought before I started I’d do a test to see how brittle the seacocks are.

This morning I’ve give a sample a decently sharp hit with a hammer and none broke off / shattered or so much as moved. Are there any other non destructive tests I can / should do before leaving as they are for another year?
I know of a couple of owners whose seacocks broke off when they leaned on the attached hose. Give them some serious heaving to test.
