Seasons greetings!!

The hose that runs from my final back-to-back engine fuel filter to my injector pump is wire armoured, and where it leaves the fuel filter the armour has bent in and a few wires are broken on the underside (hard to photograph) so I want to replace it.

It's a standard 8mm spigot at the far end but where it exists from the filter it looks as pictured.

ASAP sell pre-made armoured hose with 8mm spigots each end. What do I need to get to convert my filter outlet to work with such a hose? Some pictures:

Thank you!

If you know the size you are dealing with then BES stock a range of suitable stainless armoured hose as its used in various capacities in oil(keroscene)boilers plus often listed as common to fuel;gas and water.

You could also get the hose made by a Goodridge supplier that does motorcycle oil coiler hoses etc.
But if you want to use the pre-made hose, you should be able to find an 8mm conhex or similar brass plumbing fitting with a male BSP thread to fit into the filter.
I assume it's BSP, I would just try a known BSP fitting.
If it's 1/4 BSP, then Screwfix part no 62371 might be it.

FWIW, I put a 1/4 turn valve on the output of my filter, it made bleeding easier, as less air got into the filter to engine side during a filter change.

HTH

edit, I thought it was a CAV pre-filter, obviously not, so perhaps less likely to be BSP?
sorry.

Tinkicker's right, the easiest way is simply to take the hose along to your local Pirtek branch, or other good hydraulic fittings place, they'll make up a replacement on the spot.
