I have started to replace the old filters with new easy to change Racour type for my 2 engines.
After getting the tanks cleaned and new inspection hatches done I have fitted new ISO7840 rubber fuel lines from engine, fuel return to tank, and from fuel tank to where the new filters will be sited.

There is 2 copper pipes ( that the old filters where fitted to ) going to the engine fuel filter.

Should I also replace these with the ISO7840 rubber lines?
(I know copper can get brittle over the years and these are original on a 40 year old boat.)

Also, I have replaced the on off valves at bottom of tanks ( fuel supply lines connected to) with new ones.

Do I fit ball valves at the filter body where fuel goes in as well? I presume so, any recommendations on these?

Thanks in advance.
