Replacing clear sections of boat covers

Aah, I can see now why some plastic windows got damaged, especially if they are already UV damaged, which certainly looks the case on the yacht in your photo.

Whats the best tape for making a temporary repair?

I found sail repair tape is very good for canvas windows, I can't remember the make but most chandlers stock it and it comes in clear, white etc.

I'd rather have something clear!

There is something caller "Helicopter Tape" that is about 3 inches wide.

It used to be used to protect the leading edge of rotor blades on helicopters, and I have used it to protect the leading edge of race car front wings and nosecones.

Great stuff but not cheap.
