Our previous owner had a gas powered hot air central heating system which clearly did not work very well because he ripped out the burner and the thermostat! And thats why I cannot tell what manufacturers equipment it was, but it worked off camping gaz.We need to install a new system and have looked at eberspacher and similar diesel fuelled systems. But it turns out these work at higher temperatures and the paper ducting that the previous system used would have to be replaced throughout the boat with heavier duty hot air duct. The eberspacher ducting is also larger in diameter (approx 3 inches versus 2 1/2) and this would therefore be a very tricky job, if the space is there to fit it at all.
We are open to any suggestions such as radiators and hot water systems but would welcome any info on what was the probable original system and whether there could be some way to use the existing ducting. The boat is a 1991 bowman 40 and currently has five outlets. Many thanks.

One thought Gerry,
The smaller diameter eberspacier pipes for the hair drier etc could fit inside your existing ducting. Or could you find an alternative stainless (car exhaust) ducting which would fit inside your existing installation.
