Evening Folks,

I need to replace the Steering ram on my 1996 Hunter Pilot.

I have managed to find out from the Hunter Association that the original ram is a Hydroflex IO-B133. Mine seems to have a Seastar BA135-8EMV (HC5327).
I am struggling to find either of these for sale in the UK.

If you have any suggestions on how to locate one, I would be most grateful .

Thanks
Andy

Mine starting leaking from one end. I ordered the seal kit from Hypro Marine in Lymington (very helpful people). Mine's also a BA135 and the kit cost about £60 inc postage. You'll also need an adjustable C spanner (available from Amazon). Instructions come with the seal kit. It's not a difficult job either DIY or for a 'professional'. Should take about an hour. Of course, there's no point replacing the seals if the cylinder bore is scored, but that's unlikely.

Ditto for the local hydraulic fixers. I had a leaking Octopus ram (supplied to several 'name' autopilots) The agent couldn't help because of age, but my local ag/lorry place supplied seals for a couple of euro.

I have dropped them an email to hopefully sort a kit :)
