replacement prop

Volvo Penta 105. Propellor lost so pitch not known

1. Ask on the MoBo section of the YBW forum, you may receive more informed answers.

2. I imagine the propellor is/was standard on these boats - ask Beneteau and/or one of their dealers. I assume there is a dealer in Thailand but it might be worthwhile contacting the dealer in Singapore. Props are not cheap - I'd ask around

3. Ask Volvo - I imagine the propellor will have been a Volvo prop. Again there will be a Volvo dealer in Thailand and Singapore - spread your net widely.

If you have all the original documentation for the engine then the prop specification should be provided - otherwise, 1, 2, 3 above. I'd tend to try to get answers from more than one source, just to confirm the information. If it is a Volvo prop then you would be better to buy from Volvo, or their dealer. It should be cheaper (but maybe not :) ).

Props are usually installed with a number of devices that stop the props falling off. When you find a knowledgable person to communicate with, who might be on the YBW MoBo section or a dealer find out how the prop should be secured and when you order the prop ensure it comes with the bits and pieces to allow the prop to be installed securely. If you have a workshop manual for the motor - this detail may be in the manual (so check the historic paper work first).

When you get the new prop - take a picture including the unique number stamped somewhere on the prop - lightening can strike twice.

Sorry - read the wrong info - you are not in Thailand nor near S'pore - stick to your local dealers :)
