I’ve a B&G networked system with the B&G 496 MHU, that has developed an issue, in that although I receive wind speed at the analogue at the helm, I don’t get wind direction.
I’m aware that to replace this particular MHU is nigh on impossible (obsolete) and/or excessively expensive to have Tinley’s, or the like, repair it.
However, having changed out the pcb on the wind speed side, a couple of years ago successfully, I would like to change out the pcb also on the wind direction side, as I suspect that the pcb has given up the ghost.
I’ve had a quick search and when you put in the parameters searching for a pcb for the 496, you are sent to suppliers that can provide only for the B&G 213 MHU. Looks the same?
So, can I use a 213 pcb in place of the old 496 pcb which appear to be obsolete now?
They’re not cheap, so don’t want to order something that’s not compatible.

I suppose the other question is, is there a replacement entire wind MHU, not necessarily B&G, that I could replace the whole MHU with that would work with my B&G networked system?
