I have a Beneteau - circa 2001, fitted with flush mounted deck-head spotlights, throughout, one of which, in the main cabin, has failed. For the life of me I cannot see how to extract the thing!

Any suggestions?

I suspect others will start to fail periodically.

If its the same as I've got, the outer lens should just prize off, leaving the main part of the fitting, inc. the bulb and reflector, in-situ. If you need to remove that as well, it is spring-loaded with two quite-strong metal springs that bear-down on the upper-side of the deckhead. I've never removed one without dropping the headlining panel, but I would think it could be done with a bit of patience (and luck...).

BTW they take 12V, 5W G4 bulbs with the 2 metal prongs.

One of mine failed because of the incoming connector that the prong connects to. It was repaired with a very small crimp filed-down to fit into the small hole.
