As in the title, I'm looking for new tube for my Pela PL6000.
I made the mistake of using the Pela the pump water out of a hard-to-reach area of the bilge, and the inside of the tube has rusted, severely restricting the oil extraction rate.
I only need the thin black tube, which seems to be very similar to the wire used on net curtains. I looked for this online and ordered some, but it is a much smaller diameter than the black tube on the Pela, so useless.
I can see a replacement hose set advertised by SVB in the Netherlands for 13.40 euros, plus VAT and delivery. However, don’t see a UK based supplier.

Has anyone found a source of either the thin black tube, I find it hard to believe that it is specially made for Pela, or a UK supplier of the hose kit.

Try Bowden cable from a motorcycle spares shop; take along the old tube and the fitting into which it goes. Probably available cheaper on the internet but you couldn't then be sure of the correct size for the job.

Could you use a length of copper or s/s tube?

I have a pump similar to a Pela with the flexible spiral-reinfored tube but as I never need to bend it, rigid tube would do just as well.

It was I who put up that link to SVB last October, after extensive searches to find a replacement in the UK, and that was even before Brexit, so I'm afraid you are stuck with SVB , which, incidentally is the 'new black' for us in Ireland, as UK suppliers now seem unwilling or unable to deal with the Customs and VAT procedures required when sending goods overseas.

Local welding supplier is your friend here. Ask for a metal MIG torch liner. Or if you have a Wilkinsons close by, the old style net curtain support (usually white plastic coated springy steel) will also do teh job.
