Replacement for Photobucket?

Under the picture of the ship on the rocks, to the right hand side, is right pointing arrow, sort of curved shape tail, looks like a "forward to" email arrow. Click on this and copy all of theBB code, it should already come up highlighted, so just click the browser copy button. Paste the BB code strIght into a forum posting box.
Thanks BOB but I wonder if this is an iPad thing. Clicking the arrow gives me a choice of saving image or copy URL. No mention of BB code.

I fail to see why ybw.com can't simply do the image hosting. In the past storage space was costly on servers, and bandwidth costs were high - but that isn't the case nowadays

If they can afford to take boats out on tests burning up gallons and gallons of fuel on boats that most of us can't afford, surely they can use some of that for image hosting for members

It must be an iPad thing. I just downloaded the App to my iPad and I get what you have seen. I have only used Flickr on my Apple Air or wife's Pro. Not being coversent with operating systems, I assume BB code is not applicable to iPads, hence just a link is added instead. You learn something every day!

Think I'll try it on the laptop tomorrow, see how I get on.

I've got Dropbox on my iPad. How do you share photos to here? You may have guessed I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to anything techie.
Me too, so I had to get this from a previous thread.

If you open a photo in Dropbox there are a couple of symbols next to the dustbin top right. If you click on the up arrow you get the option to copy link. If you then paste this into your post it will end in "dl=0". You need to change this to "raw=1" and then the link should work.

If this doesn't work I'll just give up!!

I'd be leery of using Dropbox, as they seem to be on a campaign to stop their system being used to serve web content ... even if it works for now, it may stop doing so at any time.

Can someone please explain in simple terms how to post a link from Dropbox so that it automatically shows the image in the post and not the link.

In very very simple terms please:D
