Replacement covers for cockpit speakers

My JVC cockpit speaker covers are sited in a vulnerable position. The front plastic grille is not very strong and has been damaged on both.

I've tried to find a supply of replacement covers without success so far. Ideally I'd like something much stronger. Powder coated aluminium might be ideal.

The diameter of the cover would need to be around 7" or so - the speakers themselves are 6.5" dia.

Speaker grill

What you want are speaker grills. try electronics shops like RS components or similar. I found something like what you want at http://www. jaycar.com.au however they are made of steel painted so would probably rust quickly. They have 4 external clamps to hold them in place. good luck olewill
